The runs at Silver Star provide nicely balanced sliding conditions for every skier and snowboarder: 20% of the runs are for beginners, 50% for intermediate level visitors, 20% for advanced skiers and snowboarders, 10% for extreme skiers and snowboarders. The vertical drop at the resort is 760 metres (2,500 feet) and the longest ski run is 8 kilometres (5 miles). The ski and snowboard season at Silver Star runs from around late November to mid April, everyday from 8:30am to 3:30pm. Friday and Saturday nights offer night skiing from 3:30pm until 8:00pm (times may vary during the season).

Silver Star offers a wide range of accommodation for visitors: 2 Village Hotels, 5 Condo/Town Home Complexes, Numerous Vacation Homes and Luxury Cabins, and 1 Ski-in/Ski-out Youth Hostel. There are also a full range of dining facilities including cafeterias, restaurants, bars, bakeries, coffee bars, fine dining, as well as boutique shopping in the heart of the village.

Silver Star hosts a wide range of activities and events throughout the winter to keep visitors busy such as the Tube Town Adventure Park, ice skating on Brewer's Pond, snowmobile tours, sleigh riding, snowshoeing, and of course skiing and snowboarding. There are 4 levels of well-groomed ski runs and the world famous "Snow Ghosts" (trees covered with snow and ice) provide unique and spectacular scenery. Silver Star is renown for its family-oriented atmosphere and activities, and with the opening of the international runway in nearby Kelowna this resort openly welcomes vacationers from countries around the world.
