On February 18, a multicultural fund-raising dinner was held at the Salvation Army Church in Penticton. Admission to the dinner was by donation. The dinner was held to raise money for the Salvation Army “Partners in Mission” which this year is focussing on helping the poverty-stricken country of Liberia – for further details see:

There were over 20 different types of ethnic food on hand from such countries as England, Scotland, Holland, Germany, Japan, and the Philippines in addition to First Nations and French Canadian cuisine. The food was absolutely delicious and it was a terrific opportunity to try many different kinds of food from around the world. There was a large turnout for the fund-raiser and everyone had a wonderful time dining, socializing and then later being entertained with international music, poetry, and humour.
