On Tuesday we carved pumpkins and decorated the outside of our place. The kids also tried on their Halloween costumes and they are so excited. On the Friday before Halloween there are parties planned all over Penticton. I was told Halloween is becoming more and more popular with each passing year, not only with children but with adults too!
I volunteered to help out at the KVR Middle School Halloween Day on Friday. It was a morning of playing games in French (our daughter is in the school’s French Immersion Program) and in the afternoon there was a costume contest and a Halloween dance. The kids’ costumes were amazing and the parents had a lot of fun helping the teachers with the games. My French is very rusty but I managed to survive the morning!
